Understanding the cost of LEQEMBI

What to keep in mind
What you'll pay for LEQEMBI depends on a number of different factors, like your prescription insurance, out-of-pocket costs, and your specific dose.
What you pay may also change over time. When you start treatment, costs will be based on receiving LEQEMBI infusions twice monthly (once every 2 weeks). After 18 months of treatment, costs may change if you switch to maintenance treatment. You and your healthcare provider will determine if you can switch to less-frequent, once-monthly (once every 4 weeks) infusions, or once-weekly (once every 7 days)
at-home injections with LEQEMBI IQLIK™. LEQEMBI IQLIK is an injection given under the skin (a subcutaneous injection) by you or a care partner.

How costs are calculated
The list (or wholesale) price for LEQEMBI is $258.64 for a 200 mg vial and $646.61 for a 500 mg vial, as of April 2025. Because LEQEMBI has weight-based dosing, the price per patient is based on the number of medication vials needed. Based on the list price, treatment for a patient who weighs 165 pounds and takes LEQEMBI every 2 weeks would cost $26,632 per year.* This reflects the approximate cost for a patient without insurance coverage. The actual out-of-pocket cost may be lower depending on the patient's insurance.
